Iryn Namubiru was a big star in the 2000s, when she rocked the Ugandan scene with her raunchy dances and provocative fashion sense, and it appears her nostalgic fans will be up for a surprise.

News reaching us is that the “Bilowozo” star is set for a comeback at the Unplugged Sn 2 show.

The songstress who was propelled to stardom by her “Nkuweeki” hit in 2006 ruled Uganda’s airwaves with Kaliba, Kabi Ki, Bilowozo and many other hits.

For several years Iryn commanded huge followings, especially among male fans because of her raunchy dressing and provocative dances. Indeed, in 2011, she won Artist of the year, Female Artist of the year and Album of the year awards, all in the same year.

It was in the height of her career that she put music on hold to find love and makes babies with her then boyfriend in France. The love didn’t last.
