Jose Chameleone could head to Luzira Prison For Over 53MUgx

Superstar Jose Chameleone is in trouble again over 53M.
A South African based music promoter has sued Chameleone seeking to recover his money after the artiste allegedly failed to appear at a concert for which he had been paid to perform.
In the case filed in the High Court on 23rd January 2018, Ms Zaina Muwonge, who also trades as Sezana Promotions, claims that in 2015, she entered into an undocumented contract (gentleman's) with Chameleone, who agreed to perform at a concert headlined by his hit single ‘Wale Wale’ in South Africa.

Ms Muwonge claims she communicated to Chameleone about the concerts, which would take place in the cities of Durban, East London, Pretoria and Cape Town, respectively as indicated in the fliers that she printed in a bid to advertise.
“In fulfilment of my obligation, I went ahead and affected part payment of Shs15m to the defendant (Chameleone),” The plaintiff(Ms Muwonge) claims in part of a law suit our snoops landed on.
Furthermore, the same law suit quotes, "towards the due date of the concerts, I further paid more than Shs1m at the request of the defendant (Chameleone) to enable him and his entire crew process emergency passports after he said documents had allegedly been stolen.
Notably, Ms Muwonge claims she paid more than 11M to transport the musician.
She adds that she went ahead to book hotels that would provide accommodation to Chameleone and his entire crew but to her surprise, the singer and his management switched off phones on the day before his flight, making efforts to trace him fruitless.
Ms Muwonge, however, says, "In 2016, Chameleone called me, apologising and we re-entered a gentleman's agreement promising me to make up for the frustration he had caused me in the previous year."
Basing on the renewed contract, Ms Muwonge claims she organised other concerts in the same cities but the singer played the same tricks he had played the previous year on the eve of the show.
Through her lawyers of Lukwago and company advocates,  she has sued the "Sweet Banana" hit maker seeking to recover her money and orders compelling Chameleone to pay her damages for breach of contract, damaged reputation and property, including chairs and banners and property in the venues she had organised the shows.
We shall keep you posted.
